Shake the booty / Save the Booty

Imagine that you are scrolling down the feeds on your Instagram wall and you come across a girl dancing on a "sponsored link"; you tap on the volume button and since you miss hearing first few lines, you go into that video blog and start watching it it from the beginning. She is dancing for ‘Bom Diggy’ shaking her booty sensuously and you are tempted to look at the complete video of 30 seconds. Now you don’t stop there. You begin to explore more and more videos and you come across various outstanding dance performances so you will follow that blog and go back to the feed wall again. After few scrolls you come across National Geography page posting the death of Sudan - The last Male White Rhino. You are an animal lover, so you post a comment saying RIP Sudan with a sad smiley and you go through the feed again finding troll pages which seems very interesting since we are in an era where we get to know many news from troll pages than the shouting news channels; and after some time you get back to work.

We are human beings. The very word ‘Human’ make us imagine a picture of a person being kind towards some one or some animal. Words like help, care, cry, happy, joy, etc pour into our mind. It is such a positive and deep feeling within us saying "I am a good person and ithin my limitations and mistakes, I have been a normal human being". But, just give it a thought and question yourself. Are you really being a real human being? Well, working to earn your living, joining meetings, salary hikes, thinking about savings, paying loans and taxes, losing money on shares, doing a small or part time businesses, watching TV, going out for dinner, making yourselves fit for future, partying to relieve from stress, maintaining your family, wishing people on special occasions, cheering for your favourite sports team, voting your political leader, posting things about what you like and share - on Instagram, whatsapp, facebook, snapchat, twitter etc and many more. You might be astonished that you do so many things in your life right? And we call ourselves as social animals and our existence of being a social is expanding with the introduction of every new social media apps just for the sake of grabbing others attention. This is making us more engaged to do something creative/stupid every now and then and post it on these sites/apps and actually not care about real things and act on them physically. We download tiktok and make a video obviously to post it. We look into Leonardo D’caprio’s speech and make applauding videos and post it on facebook or share it in whatsapp;  example of Sudan is already mentioned.  But how many of us are actually doing something to stop this? How many of us have made a sincere effort to at least explore ways to contribute for the change?

As we all know we the humans are solely responsible for climate change, we need innovative ideas that put into action and reduce more damage to this "Mother Earth". Carbon emissions are creating a havoc and immediate measures need to be taken to end this. Meanwhile, we have to conserve the natural life forms. Everyday I wonder how can we do that as a ‘normal person’? Well, we can donate few of our savings to the genuine national and international NGOs that are working towards the cause, make some time from our routine life to volunteer for them, help the birds and animals around us by providing them with water, food and if possible shelter and most importantly, love them! Also, encourage people or institutions who are willing to find innovative ideas. Who knows, your small click may trigger to a revolution!

Remember! Don’t just shake your booty! Save habitats and their habituates. This in turn will save your Booty!

A statement if warning:
